For this reason, at Blu Navy we have designed a special service with them in mind on our Acciarello ferry. In fact, on board you will find a fantastic play area, specially designed to entertain young passengers during the crossing.

In this area, children can indulge in play and imagination, surrounded by colours, games and entertainment of various kinds. All this, of course, in complete safety. The staff is always present on the ferry, and ensures safety in the children’s area. However, they are not responsible for the children or their entertainment, so they must always be in the company of their parents during the crossing. Don’t forget that, in addition to all this, Blu Navy is also known for its punctuality and convenient timetables.

Whether you are heading to the beach for your holiday or back home after a long day, you can always count on our reliability. Punctuality and comfort are two of our strengths and we are proud to offer this service to all our passengers. We are well aware that travelling can sometimes be a challenge for anyone who has difficulty getting around, including the elderly, people with disabilities, those with sensory impairments, pregnant women or anyone who uses a wheelchair.

Therefore, we have worked to create an environment on board that is as welcoming and comfortable as possible for everyone. Our ships are designed and equipped according to all legal safety requirements and, above all, with the needs of every passenger in mind. Safety information is disseminated via an audio system to ensure that everyone is aware of any emergency situations. We have also set up clear and prominent signs to indicate evacuation routes should it be necessary to evacuate the ship. We have dedicated specific areas for people with reduced mobility andaccess on board is facilitated by stair lifts, lifts or hoists.

The Blu Navy team consists of qualified professionals specially trained to assist people with reduced mobility, both in routine situations and in emergencies. You will see the inscription “CREW” on the back of their uniforms and an identification badge: they are the ones who will help you have a smooth and trouble-free journey. Finally, we would like to remind you that your faithful four-legged friends, the guide dogs, are always welcome on board our ships.

All ticket categories are eligible for reimbursement. The cancellation fee varies depending on how close you are to your departure date, so please check our FAQ for specific cancellation terms and conditions.

If your trip is cancelled due to bad weather or technical problems, you are entitled to a 100% refund of the ticket price, a rebooking with another company or a free transfer of the ticket to another date or time.

We do not offer table service, but the consumption of food and drink is permitted anywhere within the ferry. And if you have brought food or drinks with you, you will be free to consume them in comfort at the table. Take your bicycle to Piombino on our ferries and get off in Portoferraio, so you have all the time and flexibility you need to explore the island at your leisure.

An important note on the ticket: if you carry your bicycle by hand, you will need a ticket for your bicycle. If the bicycle is on the bike rack at the back of your vehicle, you will have to add an extra length to your ticket. But if the bicycle is inside the vehicle, you don’t have to worry about anything—you don’t have to report it or pay for an extra ticket.

Travelling with us is very simple, but there are a few details to take into account. Firstly, places for motorcycles are limited, so it is better to book to secure a place on board, avoiding last-minute disappointments. Once at the port, our boarding staff will be ready to help you put your motorcycle in the parking deck. Follow their directions and your motorcycle will be ready for the crossing.

And the best news? No extra charge for your motorcycle! The ticket price already includes everything, just specify that you are travelling with a two-wheeled vehicle.

On board Blu Navy ferries to the Island of Elba, the concept of relaxation is fundamental to offering passengers a pleasant and relaxing journey. Seats with tables are available for those who prefer a more intimate atmosphere and personalised comfort. And there is air conditioning on both of our ferries.

These spaces are designed to provide a cosy environment, with comfortable seating and tables on which you can put drinks, snacks or other personal items. It is the perfect option for those who wish to have a space dedicated to themselves or a small group of people.

There are also benches outside the ship on which to sit and enjoy the open air during the crossing. These benches are positioned at vantage points outside the ship, offering the opportunity to enjoy the journey in the open air, take in the sea breeze and admire the surrounding landscape.

Have you ever done smartworking on a ferry?

Well, with us you can. You can work during the trip and continue with your projects. On the sides of the ships you can sit at very large and cosy tables to use your laptop or tablet, and at the same time enjoy the view, thanks to the large windows.

And there is air conditioning on both ferries. We do not yet have a wifi connection on our ships, but usually during the crossing the network of the main Italian operators is stable, so you can comfortably use your smartphone as a hotspot.

Power sockets are available next to each table for charging your laptop and smartphone.

The ships connecting Piombino to the Island of Elba offer large open spaces, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the journey.

The outside deck is the ideal place for sunbathing, taking a walk or simply admiring the view. The deck is equipped with wooden benches and offers a panoramic view of the sea and the coastline of the Island of Elba.

The inner deck is more sheltered from the wind and sun, and is perfect for those who prefer to stay cool.

Travelling by car on board Blu Navy ferries is a comfortable and convenient option for exploring the Island of Elba. The main ship, Acciarello, with its capacity for up to 800 passengers and 230 vehicles, offers a large garage with sufficient space for buses and commercial vehicles.

Thanks to the double bridge, the embarkation and disembarkation of vehicles takes place simultaneously in less than 30 minutes, significantly reducing waiting times. Its sister ship, Tremestieri, joins the fleet during the spring and summer months, offering an efficient and reliable service with a similar cargo capacity.

During the crossing, it is only possible to stay in your vehicle if it is located on the upper deck of the parking deck, which, only has limited availability. To gain access to the upper deck, you must arrive at the embarkation point in advance and indicate your requirements to the boarding staff by switching on your four indicator lights.
Despite the large spaces, we recommend that you make a reservation. Tall luggage should not be indicated.

Both ships are equipped with an entertainment system that includes a wide range of TV channels, including films, TV series, documentaries, children’s programmes and news.

Television channels are available in Italian. The entertainment system is free for all passengers.

The televisions are located in different areas of the ship, including the common room, the dining room and the bar area. The televisions are big and offer excellent picture quality.

The entertainment system is a great way to pass the time during the crossing. You can relax and enjoy a film, TV series or documentary, or keep up-to-date with the news of the day.
