For the family unit of the card holder and other holders of the property, disembarkation fees can be deducted by filling in the appropriate form.
Disembarkation fees are only applied on the route from Piombino to Portoferraio, tickets from Portoferraio to Piombino are otherwise free.
To take advantage of the concession, it is necessary to purchase a ticket through the call centre, chat, WhatsApp, by e-mail or directly at the ticket office.
All trailers over 1.5 metres fall under the category “Caravans”. If you select this option, you will be asked to specify the actual length of the trailer.
The selection does not include a car, so you will need to choose the correct car category and add “Caravan” to your booking.
In order to travel with BluNavy while pregnant, a gynaecological medical certificate issued no later than 48 hours before the journey is required, stating that you can travel safely by sea.

Yes, on the upper parking deck of the Acciarello and Tremestieri ships there is a large outside parking area where you can remain in your vehicle.
This option is designed for those travelling with four-legged friends and for people with reduced mobility, but is accessible to all BluNavy customers subject to availability.
To request to be placed on the outside car deck go to the embarkation point with your four indicator lights on, the boarding staff will come and ask about your requirements and guide you through the boarding procedure.
The parking space on the upper parking deck cannot be reserved, we ask you to arrive in advance of the scheduled boarding time to ensure availability.
During the crossing you can stay in your vehicle with the engines off, take a walk, enjoy the view, smoke and use the toilets.

Yes, it is possible to travel independently from the age of 16 with the written permission of parents or guardians.
The form, called Manleva, must be completed, signed and sent to [email protected] together with an identity document of the signatory.

Passengers under 16 years of age must have their ticket linked to an adult’s ticket.

No, BluNavy does not require ID documents at embarkation unless the ticket has been issued with a nominative promotional fare (Second Home, Residents, Natives etc.).
However, we advise you to always travel with all your documents, many facilities on the Island of Elba require them at check-in.
The new second home card grants you a discount of up to 30% on all BluNavy journeys, all year round.
The card is designed to benefit those who own property on the Island of Elba by discounting the price for the card holder and their vehicle.
Only one card may be issued per property, even if the holders are different.
For all persons listed on the land registry or belonging to the household of the holder of the card, we provide a discount of €5 on disembarkation fees in Portoferraio, therefore it is applicable on journeys from Piombino to the Island of Elba.
Simply fill in this form to benefit from the exemption.
By booking the ticket via Chat, Call Centre or Ticket Offices you will be able to request the exemption, however if you book the ticket via the website the option is not yet available as it cannot be verified by the system.
IRREGULARITIES:
If irregularities are found, the ticket issued with the discount code will be cancelled.
In the event of repeated violation of the policy the card will be permanently withdrawn and no further issue with the same registration details will be possible.
The updated land registry document can be downloaded FREE OF CHARGE at https://www.agenziaentrate.gov.it/portale/area-riservata, clicking on “Access the Reserved Area” and entering your credentials (Electronic Identity Card (SPID/CIE)). Within your profile you will find the link “LAND REGISTRY DOCUMENT” that will allow you to download the updated PDF file of the properties registered in your name.

Penalties may be applied for cancellation and subsequent reimbursement of the ticket, which increase as the departure date gets closer:
Reimbursement of 100% of the ticket cost within 30 days of departure and the day of issue
10% deduction if cancelled within 30 days of travel
20% deduction if cancelled within 10 days of travel
30% deduction if cancelled within 48 hours of travel
50% deduction if cancelled within 24 hours of travel
The ticket is non-refundable within 24 hours of the departure of the booked journey.

For everyone’s safety on board, we invite you to follow a few simple rules.
Dogs:
For larger dogs we ask that they be provided with a leash and muzzle for the duration of the trip, smaller dogs can stay comfortably inside their carriers or take a walk on the open deck while on a leash.
You must remain in the open areas of the ship.
Cats:
Your feline companion can travel in its carrier. We recommend quieter areas of the ship for cats; in the middle rows they will feel much less movement from the waves.
Other small animals such as canaries, iguanas and hamsters can travel in their own cages.

Both ships offer two large open areas: an outdoor deck and the side decks of the ship. The outside deck is the ideal place for sunbathing, taking a walk or simply admiring the view. You can take advantage of the “leave earlier leave later” service in two ways:
1) At the ticket office: if you arrive early and wish to leave earlier, or if you arrive late and wish to leave later, you can go to the ticket office and ask for a new ticket, which may include a price adjustment.
2) Upon embarkation: if you arrive early and wish to leave earlier, or if you arrive late and wish to leave later, you can go to the embarkation dock and ask to be placed on the waiting list. If there are still seats available after all booked passengers have boarded, you will be able to board with no price adjustment.
The “leave earlier leave later” service is a travel option that allows you to advance or postpone the departure time of your ferry if you arrive early or late.
Access to the benches outside the ship is permitted during the crossing, unless weather conditions or other special circumstances prohibit doing so for safety reasons. In the event of adverse weather conditions or instructions from the ship’s staff, you may be asked to move inside the ship to ensure the safety of all passengers.

In the event of a delay on arrival, compensation may be payable based on the price paid for the ticket, according to the minimum levels established by the regulations. However, no compensation will be paid in the event of a delay caused by dangerous weather conditions or extraordinary circumstances that prevent the service from running.
There are fees for cancelling tickets on the Piombino-Portoferraio route and on the Santa Teresa-Bonifacio route. The penalties vary according to how soon the cancellation takes place before the departure time. Please note that failure to cancel within the specified time, or if the ticket issued bears a non-refundable fare, then you will not be entitled to a refund.
Tickets issued at the standard fare can be refunded if the cancellation occurs within 24 hours prior to the booked departure. The refund may be requested at the ticket offices operated by the carrier or through the retailer where the ticket was purchased. Refund fees are applicable in proportion to the time of cancellation.

To obtain your personal “Second Home” promotion card, you must provide the following documents: an up-to-date copy of the your property’s Land Registry certificate, a copy of your identity document, your telephone number and your email address. Once the documents have been sent to the specified email address, you will receive your card, which will be valid for two years from the date of issue.
